Itziar Lesaka is better known as an opera singer, but she has been singing tangos for as long as she can remember.
Itziar Lesaka is better known as an opera singer, but she has been singing tangos for as long as she can remember. In 2009 she performed together with the bandoneonist Raúl Jaurena at the Schwerin Theater. This encounter was a strong impulse and she has since worked, together with Friedemann Braun, on various tango programs and projects. BarockTango is one of them. The program includes works of the early European baroque, tango classics of the 30s-40s, as well as Bach and Piazzolla.
Friedemann Braun plays and accompanies on various keyboard instruments.
