Multimedia, interactive, enchanting: the exhibition in the 3 Königinnen Palais offers an exciting journey through time.
This starts with the early settlement of the region, with the Germanic tribes and Slavs, and leads through the times of the Knights of St. John to the 18th and 19th centuries, to the times of the Duchy of Mecklenburg-Strelitz. A room is dedicated to each of the three Mecklenburg princesses who were crowned queens at European courts. The journey through time ends with today's traces of history: churches and gardens, castles and palaces. Ways of exploring these on site are also shown.
When designing the exhibition, emphasis was placed on a family-friendly layout. In addition to informative text panels, there are also many interactive elements in the exhibition, including a magnifying glass search game with old manor houses, a painting for a photo as a ducal family, a talking genealogical chart and a multivision film with beautiful images of the history and landscape of Mecklenburg-Strelitz.
