There will be much to smile about and to listen to when the group "Bernstein" from Rostock invites you to a cheerful operetta evening and will present all facets of this musical literature.
For two eras define operetta: the golden one in Vienna and the silver one in Berlin. Viennese operetta is above all lilting and waltz-like. The Berlin operetta, on the other hand, is captivating in that instead of the soulful waltz, it places rousing rhythms in the foreground, from influences of the revue to jazz. Thus melodies of J. Strauss, J. Offenbach up to earworms from Berlin sound in suitable costumes in this evening.
