Experience the Grevesmühlen Cemetery Forest on a guided forest tour
What is special about the FriedWald Grevesmühlen? Answers to this question are given by FriedWald foresters during a free guided forest tour.
During the joint walk through the burial forest, they explain the concept of burial in nature - from burial types and costs to the selection of the appropriate tree and the design of burials. At the same time, the approximately one-hour tour offers the opportunity to ask questions about FriedWald and to discover the beauties of the forest. Meeting point is the information board at the FriedWald parking lot, navigation point: Klützer Straße, 23936 Grevesmühlen.
Since the number of participants for the forest tour is limited, registration is required at www.friedwald.de/grevesmuehlen or 06155 848-100.
About FriedWald®:
FriedWald GmbH has initiated a change in burial culture with natural burial. In 2001, FriedWald Reinhardswald near Kassel was the first burial forest to be opened in Germany as an alternative to conventional cemeteries. Since then, FriedWald has been enabling tree burials in specially designated burial forests in cooperation with federal states, municipalities, churches and forestry administrations. There are now 76 FriedWald sites nationwide, each a cemetery in the forest approved under public law.
The company, based in Griesheim near Darmstadt in Hesse, employs around 150 people at its headquarters (administration, customer service) and throughout Germany (site and forest management). In addition, around 200 foresters look after the FriedWald sites on site and accompany customers on forest tours, tree selection and burial. The FriedWald® brand is protected in Germany. The goal is to ensure a uniform and ecologically recognized natural burial concept in beautiful forest regions. FriedWald is well known: More than 70 percent of people over 50 know the brand (kantar/emnid 9/2020).
