Fishing festival gaff rig

On the weekend of July 14-16, many guests are expected again in the fishing village of Wieck as well as in the museum harbor. They will experience a varied program on four stages, in the children's land, on markets and strolls, at open ship and boat trips. Sports enthusiasts can take part in various disciplines.

Lovers of traditional ships can look forward to the 34th Greifswald Gaff Rig. Around 40 museum ships and modern yachts will pass through the Wiecker Bridge on Saturday from 13:00. Ships and crews will be expertly presented.

Another maritime highlight will be the special discipline of sea sports, the regatta of the ZK10 cutters. Teams from Germany will fight for the victory in the Danish Wiek.

Other sporting competitions will again be held in Ryckhangeln, beach volleyball, canoe polo and beach soccer. At the world championship in Ryckhangeln the participants have to cross the Ryck on a plastic rope.

After the official opening of the festival, the legendary SEAT Rock and Pop Night will start on the stage in the lido. Afterwards, the high-altitude fireworks display over the pier will start at 22:45. On Saturday, the well-known Fischerfest gaff rig party will take place. The weekend ends with Ryck in Flames on Sunday evening.

Cultural fee/admission: 4.00 euros per person/per day including free use of public transport, children up to the age of 12 have free admission.
