At the end of the current exhibition "Stories need pictures", the Kulturverein Feldberger Land e. V. invites you to the finissage.
In the exhibition, Claudia Burmeister shows her illustrations for various children's books. A workshop was also held in June with primary school pupils from the second grade, where the children learned about the work of an illustrator and were able to make their own first attempts at illustration.
At the finissage, Claudia Burmeister herself will give a guided tour of her exhibition and talk about the work of an illustrator, which is very different from free artistic work. The illustration is available to the text in order to illustrate it and take it further, while at the same time putting its own stamp on the text with its approach to representation. Claudia Burmeister's work operates in this field of tension. At the finissage, she will give us an insight into the challenges involved and answer questions in conversation.
