The powerful blues singer from Hamburg's working class and daughter of the King of Vai from Liberia is a survivor of the Nazi regime. Today she is an icon for German PoC. She sings for peace, emancipation and social justice. She fights against racism, fascism and oppression.
The camera accompanies Fasia on her travels. We can witness how she uses her art to encourage people, build them up and inspire them.
The film was first released in 1987 and revised and updated in 2024.
