This evening could be EPIsch for blues fans. Because one of the best blues bands in Europe will be performing at the Kornhaus for the first time. Epimenidis' voice and electric guitar would already be a highlight, but Asteris (electric piano), Lefteris (electric bass) and Lorenzo (drums) are also on board for this full line-up performance.
The songwriter, guitarist and producer Epi K. Paradox hails from Crete, but swapped the sun-drenched Mediterranean to pursue his music career in London. There he was inspired by the British blues explosion of the late 60s and early 70s and eventually found his own style of contemporary blues music. He graduated from the London College of Music in 2018, recorded his first albums and toured.
Epi's sound is reminiscent of the guitar riffs of Buddy Guy, Mike Bloomfield, Jimmy Page and Roy Buchanan, while his songwriting harks back to the blues era. His 2nd album "A Gentle Storm" was released in January 2023, with which Epi successfully toured Greece and England in 2023. In spring 2024, Epi would like to perform in Germany, Austria and Switzerland - the countries he has "flown over" so far. This concert is the second appearance on Epi's mainland tour.
