Waren (Müritz), 29.09.2024 - The Brass Band MV invites all music lovers to an extraordinary concert on September 29, 2024 at 4 pm in the Kursaal of the Kurzentrum Waren (Müritz). Under the direction of conductor Patricio Cosentino, the young formation will perform for the third time in the "Pearl on the Müritz" and offer the audience a varied program.
Under the title "They shall come from the East", this time the Brass Band MV will present a program with a culinary focus. Freely translated from the East African Swahili "They shall come from the East and the West to dine with Him as His guests." the brass band is happy to pass this invitation on to the audience acoustically. With Goff Richard's "Hommage to a noble Grape", they do so with the musically raised champagne and other fine grape products in their hands. Corks will pop! In keeping with this, the brass band serves a "menu" by Carlos Pelliser, which aims to make your mouth water with an American dessert, among other things. It remains American with the musical arrangement of well-known melodies from the time of the American Civil War. Finally, we want to get our percussion section and hopefully the audience sweating with "Las Congas del Fuego".
With this concert, the brass band will conclude its 8th workshop and, with the fourth and final concert of this year, the musical year 2024. The brass band is coming to the health spa for the third time: "The brass band is based in Waren (Müritz). That's why we like to come here regularly. This year, as it is the final concert for 2024, it feels all the more like coming home." Says Marcus Schümann, Chairman of the association, who grew up and trained musically in Waren (Müritz) himself.
"I'm delighted to be able to work with the band in Waren again. The infrastructure here is very good and the musicians find a very good environment here. The Kurzentrum Waren in particular is giving us excellent support this year by allowing us to play in their Kursaal, one of the best acoustic concert halls in the region," says the conductor with Argentinian-Italian roots.

About the Brass Band MV:
The Brass Band MV is a young ensemble of around 30 musicians based in Waren (Müritz) in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Professional and amateur musicians from all over northern Germany dedicate themselves to the interpretation of brass band music, which originated in England, in rehearsal workshops lasting several days with their brass instruments and percussion. This dynamic form of music is characterized by the use of rarely heard cornets (a variant of the trumpet) and the generous use of tubas and percussion. Under the direction of conductor Patricio Cosentino, the Brass Band MV delights its audience with rousing concerts and a broad repertoire of different musical styles.
