Accordionist Galyna Classe plays and the painter and author Reiner Will reads from his book Maritime Literature Labskaus
Benefit concert at Hotel Strand26 in the Baltic resort of Nienhagen
It's going to be festive and for a good cause:
The Hotel Strand26 invites you to a benefit concert in aid of the association "Doctors without Borders".
The German section writes in its mission statement:
"Doctors Without Borders Germany contributes to providing medical aid to people in need and alleviating their suffering - regardless of their ethnic origin, political and religious beliefs or gender. The aid is based solely on the needs of those in need."
Inspired by a TV report on the work of the doctors and, above all, the mental and physical strain that their aid work entails in the current crisis and war zones, Hotel Strand26 would like to use the charity event to provide mental and financial support for the "Doctors Without Borders" association.
The concept of the Hotel Strand26 is designed in such a way that all rooms are accessible and most rooms are furnished for people with disabilities, not in a sterile and functional way, but in a cozy and refined way so that all hotel guests feel comfortable.
The first-class accordionist Galyna Classe will lead us through the program. She will take us on a musical journey around the world and entertain us with her wide-ranging repertoire of chansons, musette, folk music and tango. Galyna Classe comes from the Ukraine and has lived in Germany since 2005.
Another guest is the sailor, painter and author Reiner Will, who will be reciting amusing stories from his book "Maritimes Literatur Labskaus" during the breaks in the music. Reiner Will lives and works on Norderney and in Hamburg.
