Caroline Wahl's debut novel "22 Bahnen" was published in May 2023: the story about math student Tilda and her little sister Ida, who repeatedly flee the stressful everyday life with their alcoholic mother to the city's outdoor pool, became a bestseller. This season, the Volkstheater Rostock is producing a version for the stage, which will premiere on January 25. In advance, Caroline Wahl will read selected passages from the novel, the sequel to which was published in spring 2024. Ulrika Rinke and Sophia Lungwitz ask Caroline Wahl about her characters, visions and wishes for a theater adaptation of her book.
