The young Turkish pianist Burak Çebi grew up in a family of musicians whose roots have been firmly linked to Western classical music for generations. He was first introduced to the piano at the age of five by his father, who is also a pianist. In 2011, he completed his musical education at the Nuremberg University of Music with a master class degree.
Çebi has won several prizes, including 1st prize at the 2013 Orchestra Sion International Piano Competition in Istanbul and 2nd prize at the 2016 Ciudad di Orihuela International Piano Competition in Spain. He has also been awarded scholarships from the DAAD and the Wagner Association.
He has delighted audiences at numerous concerts in various cities such as Berlin (French Cathedral), Munich (Steinway House), Bayreuth (Steingraeber House), Istanbul (Notre Dame de Sion, Cemal Resit Rey Konser Salonu) and Ankara (Bilkent Konser Salonu). He has performed at master classes and concerts, as well as at events such as the "Klavier Akademie Freiburg 2011" and the "Geza-Anda-Klaviertage 2011" in Berlin.
