Bas Böttcher is a slam poet of the first hour! For over 10 years, the speech and stage artist has been giving workshops at schools and universities. He supports young talents in independently writing their own stage texts and in dealing with microphone and audience. The participants learn in a playful way to find their personal ideas and topics. Bas Böttcher gives practical tips on the "craft of writing" for the crucial step from the first thought to the wordy text. The text tricks he has developed transform the workshop into a verbal research laboratory: How does a quadruple rhyme machine work? What is a chain reaction of association? What do metrics and beats have in common? As the editor of the standard work "Die Poetry-Slam-Fibel - 20 Jahre Werkstatt der Sprache" (The Poetry Slam Primer - 20 Years of the Language Workshop), Bas Böttcher has surprising examples ready to listen to, watch or read for all styles of stage literature. In this way, linguistic means are not only explained theoretically, but can also be experienced live.
