Helga Schubert tells a powerful and poetic story about how to keep one's sanity and the other's dignity in such circumstances.
About the author:
Helga Schubert, born in Berlin in 1940, was a psychotherapist and writer in the GDR. She published a number of successful books, including "Lauter Leben", "Judasfrauen" and "Die Welt da drinnen".
Her work "Vom Aufstehen" won the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize and was nominated for the 2021 Leipzig Book Fair Prize. The Spiegel bestseller "Der heutige Tag. Ein Stundenbuch der Liebe." was published by dtv-Verlag in March 2023.
She will be awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon for her social commitment on October 1, 2024.
The event is being held in cooperation with the outpatient hospice service of the DRK Mecklenburg Lake District Association.
