Bonn-based pianist Prof. Dr. Franz-Josef Lübken, full-time director of the Leibnitz Institute for Atmospheric Physics in Kühlungsborn, has devoted himself to early swing music a lá Fats Waller, Bix Beiderbecke or Benny Goodman. For his latest musical project, he was able to gather prominent reinforcement in Rostock's cult jazz musician Andreas Pasternack (saxophone, vocals) and his trio musicians Christian Ahnsehl (guitar) and Enrique Marcano (double bass). Since their formation in early 2016, the Swinging Seagulls have become a real insider tip and now present their debut CD "I can't dance": Hot jazz of the 20s and 30s, authentic in sound and arrangements, racy and filigree improvised by four experts in their field.
