"You don't have to understand life"
Book reading with Martina Weiß, sounds by Ines Wassermann
From 2000 to 2018, the author accompanied seven women and two men living in Mecklenburg - most of them "immigrants" from East and West. The stories, life journeys and snapshots of people who could hardly be more different make us pause again and again to reflect on ourselves. What does it mean to live in Mecklenburg? What makes us happy, what makes us unhappy? What detours do we need to take to find our own way?
Martina Weiß, born in Magdeburg, followed the call of the Baltic Sea. This is where she studied, where she was a "windmiller" in Stove, where she has been a valued craftswoman for 25 years and where she wrote her book.
Ines Wassermann will accompany the reading with music.
