The Sellin Pier leads out to the sea for almost 400 meters. Since 1998 the dream castle by the sea has been a landmark of the island of Rügen again. Whether in the light-flooded "Palm garden" stretching over two floors or the "Imperial Pavilion", reminiscent of the 1920s, you will always enjoy a clear view of the sea and the beach, surrounded by an unforgettable gastronomic ambience.
In 1906 the first, 508 m long panoramic pier in Sellin was built. In July 1920 a restaurant on the bridgehead burned down. In the winter of 1924, the brash ice ripped of the former pier from the entrance hall to the bridgehead. Consequently a new pier was built, but it was also demolished by drift ice in the winter of 1941/42.
In 1992, the foundation stone for a new pier was laid. In 1998 the two-storey T-Shaped building was rebuilt. The pier has a total length of 393 m.
