On the 1st floor of the castle, the art gallery attracts vacation guests interested in art. Some rooms here also serve as accommodation for guests. Anyone who is an art enthusiast will find their favorite place here.

Built from 1853 to 1874 in neo-Gothic style, influenced by North German brick Gothic. Even until the beginning of the 2000s, reconstructions were made to adapt it to the different needs of use.

The castle is surrounded by a 13 hectare castle park which was designed in the style of an English landscape park. In 2002, the International Garden Fair named the castle park the second most beautiful park in Germany.
