The Mecklenburg Railway and Technology Museum houses an extensive collection on the history and development of the railroad transport system.
A large number of steam and diesel locomotives are on display in the former locomotive workshop of the Friedrich-Franz-Eisenbahn. Historical signals are also on display and a model railway layout explains how old signal box technology works. Many small exhibits, such as tools and equipment from the development of the railroad transport system complete the picture of the exhibition.
