For years, Lewitz ranger Ralf Ottmann has been guiding guests, from near and far, through the Lewitz, one of the oldest cultural landscapes in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern on photo safaris, guided cycling and hiking tours, bird watching, guided family tours, coach escorts as well as boat, canoe and Kremser tours.

As a nature guide and nature photographer, I will be happy to accompany you on your adventure tour. My tours are aimed at nature lovers who want to actively move in nature without disturbing it. This guarantees an unforgettable experience of nature and many magical encounters. Whether on foot, by bike, by car or in your coach, you will enjoy it. I will also be happy to organize a trip for you on a Kremser wagon, on a carriage, by canoe or on the boat Lewitz-Kieker. All adventure tours are based on your wishes and physical conditions.

I will lead you past ancient stalked oaks, drive you through yellow flowering meadows as well as shady forests. In addition, I will present you with the probably largest contiguous pond landscape in Europe. Majestic sea eagles and ospreys, snow-white egrets and impressive flocks of birds consisting of thousands of northern geese and hindered lapwings are waiting for you. Of course, we will also get to know many native plants, fungi and insect species together. In addition, I will take you to the smallest half-timbered church in northern Germany, to the hunting lodge in Friedrichsmoor and to the baroque castle in Ludwigslust. Here I will take you back in time and tell you about the interesting history of these special monuments.

Museum Grinding Mill Schwerin

From magnificent floors to fine walking stick knobs, works of art made of stone and precious stones were produced for the ducal court in the Schwerin Grinding Mill. The mill is located on the edge of the stately palace grounds and is in working order and used as a museum. Visitors can learn about stone cutting and stone grinding and get to the bottom of the living conditions of the day laborers and grinding millers. The museum is open all year round.
