What is a healing forest? A healing forest is an area of woodland that is designed for medical and therapeutic use for special indications.
Nesselberg healing forest
The Nesselberg healing forest was officially opened on June 6, 2024 and covers an area of 3.5 hectares. It is located in the immediate vicinity of the AHG Clinic and the Waren spa center, which makes it particularly easy to reach, especially for less mobile patients and spa guests.
One of the special features of this woodland area is its location near the water, which creates a pleasant local climate. The adjacent Müritz ensures a regular supply of fresh air and allows visitors to enjoy the harmonious interplay of water, forest and climate to the full.
The Nesselberg healing forest is ideal for guests and patients with various health needs, including:
- Mild orthopaedic conditions
- Mild neurological diseases
- Mild to moderate cardiovascular diseases
- Mild to moderate respiratory diseases
- Mild to moderate mental and psychosomatic illnesses
- Mild to moderate oncological diseases
- Mild visual impairment
- Multimorbid (mild) patients and geriatric patients with significant limitations
The healing forest is directly adjacent to the spa park and offers a 700-meter-long circular path with 5 therapy stations and 6 memory training stations. These stations offer a wide variety of opportunities to get active and stimulate the mind, adapted to the individual requirements of visitors.
The Nesselberg healing forest is freely accessible to all visitors at all times. Come by and experience the soothing nature!
