Cafés, Farm Shops, holidays in the countryside

Experience the revival of the old market garden at the manor house up close. Here, since 2017, a nursery restored according to historical models has been combined with a community store of regional producers and an adjacent café in the manor house ambience to create a special excursion destination in the region.

The "Gärtnerei am Gutshaus Parow" is a three-winged complex dating from 1913, which was farmed until 1974. In 2017, it was restored to its original building form in painstaking restoration work through the initiative of the municipality of Kramerhof in cooperation with the Storchennest youth center.

Embedded in the listed manor house ensemble, you will discover here a market garden with greenhouse and a 4,000 m² kitchen garden and show garden according to historical models, in order to preserve and revive long forgotten old fruit and vegetable varieties, especially from the region of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, and to bring them closer to the visitors. At the Gärtnerei am Gutshaus, the long tradition of cultivating small and home gardens in our region is understood as a horticultural heritage. The appreciation for horticultural products and the richness of species and varieties in our region is made visible here.

In 2017, the Vorpommernshop was opened. In addition to fresh fruit and vegetables from the nursery, over 300 different regional products from the district of Vorpommern-Rügen are offered.

Adjacent is a café with outdoor terrace, which invites you to linger in a natural atmosphere. The "Gärtnerei am Gutshaus Parow" is thus a place to stay as well as a meeting place to bring people together with topics such as nature and garden, regionality, sustainability, biodiversity and healthy food. Indulge in regional delicacies, freshly baked cakes and homemade pies in the café and convince yourself of the diversity of our region in the Vorpommernshop. The nursery has fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables ready for you and will be happy to give you suggestions for the preparation of the products. Various events take place around the year, to which we cordially invite you.
